|THE KIT-WARM FARM
HOW DO WORMS FIT IN WITH THE OTHER KITS:
The ECO System Starter Pack includes four inter-related kits. Three of them are connectable biomes: a worm biome, an ant biome and the ECO Dome, which is the plant biome. Each kit can involve a separate team of children. Each team will become expert in all things to do with their biome.
WORMS °V OUR FAVOURITE DECOMPOSERS:
Worms are wonderfully 'icky' animals, and are totally vulnerable and harmless. However many children are repelled by the thought of touching them. If you encourage all Boys and Girls to handle them with clean wet hands AND with care and respect, you can watch the confidence and self-esteem grow!
As Charles Darwin said, worms are possibly the most influential animals on earth. Our kit shows the amazing powers of this sophisticated and vital animal in the food web. The Worm Kit is the °•decomposer biome°¶.
NO HARM - ALL CARE
We believe all our suggested activities should cause no harm to the worms. We also believe that children who learn to care for a vulnerable animal as humble as an earthworm can also transfer those attitudes to peers and the world around them.
WORMS: BUY OR COLLECT?
We do not supply worms in the kits.
In some countries it may be illegal to collect some species of worms in the wild. Please check local laws.
In those countries your ECO System supplier may supply approved live worms. Alternatively go online and find some live worm suppliers. Worms are delivered by mail to your door!
